S.A.F.E. Choice™ Admission

S.A.F.E. Choice™ is a group psychotherapy program that is offered in six-week segments. Appropriate candidates are adolescents and adults who self-injure and want to change the behavior. Participants may have attended one of the S.A.F.E. ALTERNATIVES¨ Programs, but it is not a requirement. Group size will be limited to 10-12 members. Separate groups are offered for adults and adolescents, and each is facilitated by a licensed clinical therapist.

Participant Responsibilities

All participants are expected to be in outpatient individual and/or family therapy. All participants will sign the S.A.F.E. Promise™ and a group contract.

Time/Location

Adolescents: Tuesday evenings, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Adults: Wednesday evenings, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Admission

Assessments are done face to face in the S.A.F.E. Clinic by the licensed group facilitator. It takes about an hour. Participants pay for the assessment and six-week sessions in advance. Appropriate documentation of payment will be provided for the client to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement if applicable.
